Energy and how to harness it.

Yesterday, the sun was shining and the temperature reached the dizzy heights of 8 degrees. We were at last able to get into the garden to begin the process of tidying, redesigning, and a bit of chin rubbing…
The energy I feel today is palpable, jut after 1 day in the garden! I get ideas for my business through the garden, whether I'm outside in it, or staring at it from the cabin I am using as a temporary office this week.
So what ignites your energy? How motivated are you? What can you do to stimulate and increase your energy levels, and then invest it? What provides you with momentum? How do you learn and sustain momentum? What or who inspires you and can you replicate this? What do you need to challenge in order to increase your energy?
Creating and environment that will support and sustain your energy levels is paramount. A clean and tidy workspace, a decluttering or listening to some music, and having a supportive and encouraging network of friends, partners and mentors will all help create energy. If your energetic state is blocked by your environment, or the negative people around you then building your energy levels could be problematic.
We commonly hear: "There's never enough hours in the day" or "I don't have time". I'm so busy I feel drained" "I've no head space left" Yet, if you reviewed your activities for the last month, and put together a list determining which actions had a high value and which a low value. How necessary were the low value ones and how does it make you feel now? Who else can do those activities for you so you make more time for the high value activities?
Its likely you already know the answers to these questions and your wisdom is buried deep within you, its just about stepping back and thinking differently.
In the words of Simon Ong: "Think of your mind as a waterfall, an endless stream of thoughts crashing down and flooding your mind. If you're stuck standing beneath it, it can be loud and intimidating. The first step is to take a step back into that space behind the waterfall, then you will be able to observe each droplet of thought without being weighed down by it, and release your creative wisdom".
